2026 Global Youth Action Fund Application

Ends on

The Global Youth Action Fund (GYAF) is open to young people aged 12 to 19. If you have a project that can make a difference in your community, this is your opportunity to bring it to life.

Created by the International Baccalaureate (IB) as a pathway to action for the Festival of Hope, this worldwide grant program provides funding and mentorship to help young changemakers turn ideas into real impact.

Each year, a select group of projects is chosen from hundreds of applications around the world recognized for their creativity, purpose, and potential to inspire global change. Winning projects receive funding, visibility, and entry into an international community of youth leaders working toward the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Applications are reviewed by an international panel of experts, educators, and youth advocates who look for:

  • Purpose and vision – a clear idea that addresses a real challenge.
  • Creativity and innovation – fresh thinking that moves people to act.
  • Impact and sustainability – results that create lasting change.
  • Collaboration and leadership – inspiring others to take part.

The Global Youth Action Fund empowers young people everywhere to turn hope into action — transforming local ideas into global impact.

When you apply, you join a global network of changemakers.
When you’re selected, you stand among the world’s most promising young leaders.

A final note on applications: we understand that many young people use digital tools, including AI, to help express their ideas. What matters most to our review panel is that your application reflects your authentic voice. We review many applications each year, and authenticity is what makes yours stand out.

Late applications will not be considered.

We use Submittable to accept and review our submissions.
